My First Blog

Welcome to my first blog! I'm glad you've taken the time to read it. I thought I should start my first blog with a manifesto of sorts regarding what the blogs will be about. That way you can decide if it is ever worth visiting this page again! It won’t always be me blogging, so I hope you will come back again and read some worthwhile thoughts from folks in our congregation.

The manifesto...

Firstly, I'm not a writer and I'm sure there will be times you'll wince at my grammatical errors, but please bear with me and take the time to see past the glaring errors and together I hope we'll hear from God.

Secondly, I will endeavour to make the time to blog regularly; however there are no guarantees on how often regular means! If we look at the original Greek we might find regular means once a year...

Thirdly, I promise to try my hardest not to waffle. Time is precious to us all and I don’t want to waste anyone’s time, so I will always try to be short and to the point. I want this to be a blog that encourages us in our walk not put us to sleep!

Lastly, I suspect most of my blogs will be based around the latest series I am preaching on Sundays. That way it will help remind us what I’ve been talking about and reinforce what I trust God is saying to us, the Brookeborough Elim family.

I’ll close this first blog with some words from someone who could perhaps be considered one of the first Christian Bloggers and this was before there was even a t’interweb!

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

(I’m sure blogging was one of things Paul was thinking about here!)

God bless,
